Welcome to the Secret Confessions thread. Beyond the pure anonymity of the internet, there lies a certain level of understanding behind all the accounts here on FF. The SC account carries burden of allowing the user to give a candid, private confession with (hopefully) understanding feedback. The SC thread is for other posters to give kind and/or helpful advice, words of empathy, or a secret of their own (under the SC name or not).

This account is a group account, and EVERYONE needs to treat it respectfully. By posting under the Secret Confessor, you are pledging to refrain from hate mail, "finger-pointing", insulting and being a jerkface. By posting in the SC thread, you are pledging to keep the comments respectful. This has not yet been a problem, but it's nice to have written down "just in case".

If you would like to use the SC account for ANY reason beside posting in this thread, please PM me- even if it's under the SC name (this is not to exert authority, but to maintain order over a very accessible account).

It should definitely gross you out... at least, it would me.

 

But darling, relax. A lot of people do that, including married people, so I've heard. As long as it's not all the time (to the point where it could be considered an "addiction") there's really nothing to worry about. It's not a sure sign he's not in love (or just "unsatisfied") with your mother, and it's not the same thing as cheating.

 

I mean, people have different views on this... but, even if you think it's wrong to do this while married, or you think that pornography is wrong in general, you still don't need to terribly worry. It's not going to hurt their marriage too much, most likely. And as horrid as it sounds, what your mother know won't hurt her.

 

But seriously. In a common area while kids are home? Not cool.

Oh, I completely misinterpreted that then. I've seen people freak out because their spouse doesn't love them anymore because of something like that, so I just jumped to conclusions.

I judge myself because it's true. I mean, I've changed but that won't change what I did. And until things look up, I don't think I'll let go of the grudge.
