Welcome to the Secret Confessions thread. Beyond the pure anonymity of the internet, there lies a certain level of understanding behind all the accounts here on FF. The SC account carries burden of allowing the user to give a candid, private confession with (hopefully) understanding feedback. The SC thread is for other posters to give kind and/or helpful advice, words of empathy, or a secret of their own (under the SC name or not).
This account is a group account, and EVERYONE needs to treat it respectfully. By posting under the Secret Confessor, you are pledging to refrain from hate mail, "finger-pointing", insulting and being a jerkface. By posting in the SC thread, you are pledging to keep the comments respectful. This has not yet been a problem, but it's nice to have written down "just in case".
If you would like to use the SC account for ANY reason beside posting in this thread, please PM me- even if it's under the SC name (this is not to exert authority, but to maintain order over a very accessible account).
Several reasons.
1. His parents are retarded and want to meet you first.
2. You're not officially 'dating' because you haven't gone on a first date yet.
3. If it says 'single', he's playing you. <--- What happens to me.
4. If it doesn't say anything, he just doesn't like to proclaim it to the world. <-- What I do.
Honestly, only one of those options is bad. Now, here are some questions.
1. Does it say anything at all?
2. What does yours say?
3. Have you gone on a real date yet?
It doesn't say anything, but I don't know. :\ He's told me something to the effect of 'don't tell anyone', but his friends and my friends know, or it seems like his does, and... ._.
1. No.
2. Nothing.
3. We went to a dance together, but it wasn't "official".
Hmmm.... I don't know. If he took you to a dance...
1. Well, he probably just doesn't feel like telling everyone in the whole damn world.
2. Well, he's not purposely not reciprocating.
3. See, it's probably nothing.
Oh... You might not want to make a big deal out of it. Tell him frankly, "I kinda feel like you're ashamed of me." You might be surprised at how wrong you were.
Or, he might be a douche. Either way, if I was any good at giving advice on boys, I'd still have HIM.
