Butter a small skillet and put over medium heat.

Motherfuckin Kringles
1 pound butter
10 TBSP sour cream
1 pound flour (about 4 cups)
3 egg yolks
sugar as needed
Work flour and butter together with hands. Add sour cream and mix well. Chill for several hours (up to about three days).
Divide dough into thirds. Roll thin -- about 1/8 inch. Spread with egg yolk and sprinkle generously with sugar.
Cut into 1/3-inch-wide strips about a foot long. Form into loops, pretzel style.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 350 degree F oven for 10 - 12 minutes until slightly pinkish -- they should not be browned.
Better when allowed to age, but good luck keeping people off of them.
Makes about a billion goddamn cookies. More than a hundred if you pretzel-fy them, fewer if you cut them into shapes or whatever.

Homemade museli
Couple of tablespoons of honey, and a decent sized slug of good quality oil. We use grapeseed, but ricebran, olive etc will do.
Few cups of oats (whole, not the oatmeal/porridge ones)
Tasty shit.
Nuke the honey/oil mix in a big bowl until warm and it mixes. Chuck in the oats. Mix up. Nuke in two minute intervals, mixing in between, until the oats smell nutty, and it tastes cooked/not floury.
Add in the tasty shit. This can be raisins/sultanas, dried cranberries, apricots, other fruit. bran, various seeds (pumpkin and sesame are nice), and i have a weakness for chopped honey roasted peanuts.
Mix it all up, and leave to cool. Store in an airtight place. Usually it'll disappear before it's best-before.
Also, if you're feeling like museli bars, you can chuck in some butter and brown sugar, press it into a tin, and bake it until golden.
