Welcome to the Secret Confessions thread. Beyond the pure anonymity of the internet, there lies a certain level of understanding behind all the accounts here on FF. The SC account carries burden of allowing the user to give a candid, private confession with (hopefully) understanding feedback. The SC thread is for other posters to give kind and/or helpful advice, words of empathy, or a secret of their own (under the SC name or not).

This account is a group account, and EVERYONE needs to treat it respectfully. By posting under the Secret Confessor, you are pledging to refrain from hate mail, "finger-pointing", insulting and being a jerkface. By posting in the SC thread, you are pledging to keep the comments respectful. This has not yet been a problem, but it's nice to have written down "just in case".

If you would like to use the SC account for ANY reason beside posting in this thread, please PM me- even if it's under the SC name (this is not to exert authority, but to maintain order over a very accessible account).

Uh, deodorant. I just need to know what I should use. I don't want to smell bad. And it's really sad that I don't know this yet but yeah.... help?

And shaving. Where am I supposed to shave? I mean, where on my body.

I'm one of the younger people here, and my parents never wanted me to grow up so I'm just now learning this stuff.

And I have one more question but it's even worse so I won't bother you unless you're okay with it.

As to deodorant... Teen Spirit is a good brand. I use Old Spice myself, though.

1. Any sort of antiperspirant is fine as deodorant. Just close your eyes and pick one off the shelf! I'm a fan of Secret myself.
Make sure it's "invisible" though, so it won't show on your clothes. And I suggest the solid stuff, not the gels or creams.

2. You don't HAVE to shave - I'm almost 16 and didn't get over my fear of razors until this summer.
Girls often shave their legs or their arm pits. If you have blond hair, you're probably fine. And even if you do have hair growing, you're probably the only one to notice it.

3. I'm up for anything, love. Is it about inserting tampons? Because I'm super at explaining that. :3

Pick something that smells /clean/. Not something that generally has a nice or fruity/sweet scent.

There's this girl on the team who always smells really strongly of fruit or flowers when she sweats. It's horrible.

I like Dove, personally. The 'Go Fresh' one that smells like cucumber and green tea. It smells lovely.

And, what Nathan said, legs and underarms. Rules change if you're wearing a semi-skimpy bikini and don't want to wax.
