@Lamp - Randomly. I don't even know what I was saying, to tell you the truth.
@Megan - Okay. I'll try that. Thanks. But I don't know who is what religion, and most of my friends aren't okay talking about that stuff. I just want to talk to people who can. . . help me. I know that sounds pathetic but. . .
I am... an atheist, raised by a formerly Catholic, currently agnostic father, with 11 years of Christian schooling behind me and a tendency to subscribe to certain morals from random religions, but I pick and choose only those views that I agree with.
But I'm still totally open and willing to chat if you want a weird-ish viewpoint.
I would love to talk to you, actually. . . but I'm kind of embarrassed. Everyone here knows I'm atheist. I don't want to look so unsure now.
I really think it's not something to be embarrassed about. Being confused shows you're thinking about it, and not just going "hey, my parents/friends are atheist so I'm atheist too!" It's a good thing.
But if you really want to protect your identity, you could use the SC, I guess.
I will think about it.
Huh. That is odd.
*is here, too* I have an odd view point, too, though. But I am Christian, been through countless Churches everywhere and seen too many sectional and denominational disagreements.
What's odd about your viewpoint? And same thing I said to Megan, I'd love to talk but. . .
There's a lot I disagree with depending on Churches, and practicality with practice and relevance. Loads, really.
Meh, I prolly have you on FB, or you have an email of mine, right? Or use the SC account.
No, and no. I might.
*just adding on*
Sometimes it feels good to just talk to someone who you know won't judge you about the random things on your mind, your hopes, fears, what you're grateful for, even if you don't believe they're really listening. Prayer is one of the ways society really allows this to happen. I mean, talking to an imaginary friend, or to yourself is generally frowned upon, so even if you don't believe in God, it makes sense that you'd sometimes end up praying.
Also, Catholic. Was at one time agnostic/ atheist, but that didn't last terribly long.
That makes sense.
Thanks. Same thing I said to the others.
