Reports of my death have been vastly exaggerated.

What's happened is that I accidentally bricked my laptop, Ringo, by way of cleverly downloading a virus or three. Ringo's gone in to be repaired by people who know what they're doing, but in the meantime I'm without a computer, and I don't know when/if I'll be getting Ringo back.

In the meantime... I'll try to keep on top of things via my phone.

Further news -- Ringo had 175 + viruses. So they're reinstalling the operating system.

On the other hand, at least I can recover my iTunes library :\

Just at Best Buy. They'll be done with Ringo tomorrow. However, all my data will be gone... except my iTunes library. Modern technology fuck yeah!

(I firmly suggest that it was just my computer experiencing a severe overload of sheer fabulosity. There's only so much sheer fabulous one laptop can take, after all.)

Everyone panic, the dead thread has been updated.

 

This time around, Ringo has become Zack, but the problem is much the same: the computer is on its last legs...

 

OK, actually, the problem is not at all the same. Zack is, pardon my French, a hunk of junk. Crappy internet, and basically everything is for shit. So sometime in the very new future, I am going to be getting a new computer.

 

What does this mean for this site? Not fucking much, other than I will not be on much if at all, as there's only so much I can do from my phone. For the ARG? Shitloads, but that's to be said in the relevant places.

 

If you desperately need me, message me. Other than that, direct your queries to EndOfTheEarth, whom I've given mod powers since I've determined him unlikely to go mad with power.
