Protect the flock! From JP and Hachette!

"For me, this is like Super Man's Dome Of Pleasure."

So, I was on facebook I always feel the urge to capitalize that... the other day. (My real one, where I use my real name) And, I posted as my status that I would pay someone, anyone, ten dollars if they could name the show that this quote came from.

"For me, this is like Super Man's Dome Of Pleasure."

No one could. One guy decided to Google it. He, obviously, did not receive the ten dollars.

So, I was contemplating the fail of our generation when I decided to come here. Whenever I am feeling depressed about how utterly fail-ish my generation is, I come here or to my alternate facebook account to remind myself that not every adolescent these days are(is?) at the comprehension level of a potato. Now, because you guys make me feel better about things in the brain department, maybe some of you have seen the greatest show on earth. And no, I'm not talking about a circus. I'm talking about freaking Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

It's written by Aaron Sorkin, who automatically makes it amazing. Maybe you've seen some of his other masterpieces including; The West Wing, Sports Night, The American President. The West Wing went for 7 (8?) seasons. It was a legend. A not very well-known legend, apparently.

Between the witty dialogue, the fast pace, and the oh-so-quotable lines, Studio 60 is a recipe for success. Then why did it only go one season? I don't know. It's not overtly intellectual... I think the average human being, even now-a-days, could understand it... I just don't get it. How is it that none of my real (real, as in I know them in person) friends have seen THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH?

Well, if you would like to immerse yourself in 60 minutes of Hollywood satire every night, be my guest. For only $11, you can be the proud owner of the first (and only, for reasons beyond my understanding) season of Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip;

If you'd like to read more hilarious quotes from the show, go here;

Now, if you've seen this show, or any of Aaron Sorkin's, for that matter, then I would be obligated to marry you. Because I love you. So, soo much. And if none of you have seen any of his shows.... Eff you all.

I don't watch TV. Not for any reason, mind you -- I just don't bother.

Agreed about "am I surrounded by potatoes or what?" Normally school is all right, but it gets pretty lonely given my IQ is probably somewhere above 160.

Well, then you're excused. But, if you watched TV, you'd watch Studio 60, right?

O.o I don't know about my IQ... I just really don't like 15 year olds now-a-days. They kill me. They are so... Forgive me if this sounds arrogant, because I'm my own kind of retarded, but they're so stupid.

Probably -- sounds like it'd be up my alley.

I'm a senior in high school. It messes with my head -- I very rarely meet up with anyone with whom I can talk on a level. Thank God for Anatomy class.

Yes. It's fabulous.

:( I'm sorry. Well, at least you're going to college next year... Not that that really means anything....

West Wing is very well known, and an absolutely marvellous show. I've never heard of Studio 60, like at all. Could be that we don't get it here, certainly it's not on any of the free-to-air channels.

It only ran for one season a couple years ago. Still, after the win that was West Wing, that surprises me.

Am I one of the only ones in College here? xD

Then again, I just turned 17, so I guess most of you are older than me anyways.
