My Perfect World

Somebody, take me away.

I'm sick of this noise, these deadlines...
the pointless work, the rushing people,
this swirling mass of confusion.

I want to be rid of it all.
I want to fly away, never to look back
just so I can be alone and sing
and wear whatever I want
and dance around in the air
and run as fast as I can, because I can.

I wish I had a friend;
A real friend, who will love me
and be as insane as I am
and we could watch the clouds
and run around in circles
and hold hands as we fly to the sun.

We would be alone in the world.
There would be nothing to worry about;
no fear, no worry, no wanting anything
other than what we already have
and everything would be beautiful
and nothing would ever be tainted.

It would be my perfect world.

A child's world.

My world of innocent bliss.
