Welcome to the Secret Confessions thread. Beyond the pure anonymity of the internet, there lies a certain level of understanding behind all the accounts here on FF. The SC account carries burden of allowing the user to give a candid, private confession with (hopefully) understanding feedback. The SC thread is for other posters to give kind and/or helpful advice, words of empathy, or a secret of their own (under the SC name or not).
This account is a group account, and EVERYONE needs to treat it respectfully. By posting under the Secret Confessor, you are pledging to refrain from hate mail, "finger-pointing", insulting and being a jerkface. By posting in the SC thread, you are pledging to keep the comments respectful. This has not yet been a problem, but it's nice to have written down "just in case".
If you would like to use the SC account for ANY reason beside posting in this thread, please PM me- even if it's under the SC name (this is not to exert authority, but to maintain order over a very accessible account).

I am now, however, running this, which contains over 1,000 fans, most of them being of the "squee" variety. I'm still trying to figure out what possessed me to start it, seeing as I'm something of an anti...xD

Aaaand, I remember linking people to that! I was on MX, constantly, people were all "zomg i wanna be a movie star!" so I'd direct them there. Which might not have helped the squee issues.... -

my family knows me so ridiculously well and keeps such good tabs on me that i deleted like three other things i was going to confess because I'm afraid they'll find this somehow.

The truth is... the truth is, my city has a crappy public school system, and my parents decided to homeschool me. And it's too fucking late to switch now, because I'm so fucking sheltered I care more about getting a good education than having more than three friends.

What's wrong with that? We all have our values. Sometimes you have to compromise other things to get what's important to you. A good education is important. Three RL friends is enough if they're good friends -- the number of friends isn't really important, as long as they're real friends.
Was your "lie," that you're homeschooled? We wouldn't care about that, hon... or anything, really... we're pretty damn accepting around here, imo. We'll completely support you, no matter what.
