@Tally: Get lots of rest and drink water. Not fruit juice or soda, water. At least a liter of it. You may also want to ask to see a doctor, even your school nurse ought to be able to identify an ear infection if asked. You're not allergic to amoxicillin (antibiotics) I hope?

Kress's Nothing Human was everything the MR series should have been. Genetics, scientists, it does global issues and global warming too, but it does them well.

My main issue with the book though is that it didn't have that much in the way of character continuity, the author kept switchihg the character she was following in a way that alienated you each time she moved again.
