Just coming from both the otherside of the world and a private school.

We have incredibly dumb students as well, but private schools have better resources to deal with that. From primary school, people who aren't doing well in a certain area are given extra help and assistance to help them understand. At the same time, students who do well are given extension opportunities to keep them from getting bored.

Can't really comment on the public system, though.
Once again angry at my family (I do this a lot) and thus I am seeking refuge at the library.

And of course, doing a project that requires paperwork... for gym.
I already had to do 3 essays in gym.

Question: Why essays in gym?
Answer: I have no f-ing clue.
@Nawsomes: I'm Canadian, the most paperwork I've ever done for Gym was a beep test which I never had to do before I move to the coast. It involved putting a check mark in a box.

Gym is only learning about sports (how to play them) and exercising. And how to be a fair loser, and participation, etc all that junk you need to be a good person.

@Night: O.o What the...? Three essays on what? The history of soccer, football, and the Olympics?
Beep test days = Bloody worse days of the year.

Oh... No. -Is pretty young-

I just can't understand why we have to do a project in gym, it's honestly the first time I've ever heard about it. It makes sense that when you're older you might study theory in Gym or learn about it's history a bit.

I'm picking my courses for high school this year. We can drop the extra language though, it's part of the school curriculum that we have to learn French but after Jr. High we can loose it. I'm terrible at it to be honest. >.>

In high school we're forced to take certain courses, every year we must take a subject under: Social Studies (History, Geography and such), Math, Science, and English. And due to a new rule we also have to take either some weird thing that you walk for an hour or Gym.
Sorry, but. . . . . .what's a bleep test?
Basically, you run back and fourth from one end of the gym to the other in a certain amount of time. I'm not sure what it's for (asides from your grade) but you get to each level and it gets less and less time.

You're not measured about how high of a level you get (unless you fail at level one, then you just... suck) but about how consistently you can keep it up and if you improve.

Most people die out around level 6-8.

My highest is 8.3 and lowest is like... 7.1. I'm about average.

Higher levels (9-14 are the highest my school has ever gotten) are harder to maintain so if you fall from say, 12 to 9 it's still really good.
4?

-Has seen people who drop out at 2-

Eight still wasn't very high, but then again I'm comparing to people in my school who hit 14. My friend's younger, shorter, nonathletic brother got to 11. I was so pissed I accidentally said the F word in front of two teachers.

Athletic/Popular kids reach the average before dying out. Athletic kids usually last longer though.

God I hate it. I still have to do it again.
Eh it's not so bad. Even if I want it to go rot in hell. It's not so bad for me, when I was in eighth grade they made elementary schools do it. So now anyone Gr. 3 and up also have to do it. I only have one more year.

It was strange. He never showed that he was good at it...
Ah.. . . . we do that. We called it the 'Pacer' because you have to change your pace as the test goes on. . . . .

*hasn't done it since 6th grade* *has opted out of Gym ever since*
XD Same

I lost the room for it, in my schedule. I play basketball, which waves the requirement, too. XP
I used to be tall. . . . like 3-7 years ago. :D

Now, I'm average. . . >.<'
