Protect the flock! From JP and Hachette!

AKA come write 50 000 words in a month. It's fun, I promise. (Moar info here.)

So, any other NaNoers here? (I'm Artaxiad Prescott.)

If so, got a plan yet? What's your novel about?

I bet you'll make it. 5k of that 50k was written today. It's been a pattern with me; once I pass 45k I just have to finish.

Based on that, I bet you could pull off 2.5k per day. Best of luck!

24k. I can maybe recover. Maybe.

It's that time of year again! Who else is up for the challenge?

I dunno.

I've been without my laptop since school started. So I'm behind in everything, atm and not done any planning.  Might go at a dystopian idea I had like 6yrs ago, but. . . finding anything on whatever that idea was might be a hassle.

So I'll definitely be doing something, but 50k might be more unrealistic than usual. XD

It's going to kick my ass this year, but I'm doing it.

Superhero novel. Male protagonist. Both things I've never done before. So we'll see how this works out for me.

I might try, but if I pull anything off it'll be some sort of drug-fueled tripfest since, while I have free time this year, I spend most of it on pain meds.

We'll call it an experimental modernist work and the critics will never know the difference...

I haven't read it yet (because who has time for that) but the first NaNo pep talk I got an email for was from

James

Patterson

and I think I died laughing a little.

I don't think I'm even going to bother opening it. Besides, what does he know about writing books? He hasn't written anything in decades.

Just hit 10k. I was doing really great until today when my laptop decided that I needed to do a system restore and slaughtered my writing time. *sigh*

Still not half bad, all considered.

Did it save the file, at least?

Yeah. I keep everything on a jump drive, so it was fine. Just annoying.
