Maximum Ride Unofficial Community

Protect the flock! From JP and Hachette!

In less than 48 hours, the first shelve-worthy copies of Fang: A Maximum Ride Novel is going to hit the bookstores, mostly overseas.
Us in the United States however, will not get this luxury, and many of us,
I assure you, will want to read the book on our own time.

Naturally though, we can't expect everyone to keep quiet. It simply isn't
possible. So, in an attempt to make it easier on those of us that
aren't fortunate enough to get our hands on Fang this Thursday, I propose that the fan community does it's best to safeguard others from spoilers.

How do you ask? With a warning. Any of these will do:

OmG Sp01lerzzzz!!!!!1!

How do I know if it's a spoiler?
Spoiler material is anything that hasn't been released to the general public by Hachette. In short, if it isn't the book flap teaser from Amazon or the
first six chapters that were posted on Mr. Patterson's fansite, it's a
spoiler.

Does this apply to books 1-5?
No, it does not. These books have been out all over the planet for an
entire year now, and everyone has had a fair chance to get their hands
on them.

Isn't this the job of the Moderators?
There are no statements either in the Moderator rule book or in NING's Terms
Of Service to prevent spoilers. In short, the Moderators are powerless
in this matter. Therefore it is the job of the community to prevent spoilers.

You can't tell me what to do!
You're right. I can't. However it would be better for the rest of us if you listened. Consider it a community service.

Are you doing this to try to shut down "Fang New Info"?
Sievey Kole Jackson has taken special precautions to make sure that the
information that was included does not contain any specific plot
information. Feel free to check it out after reading this.

What do I do if someone has posted a spoiler and won't put up a warning?
Don't post on their thread. As a result the thread will eventually move to
another page from lack of attention, and can easily be found at a later
time and responded to, once you've read the book. DO NOT INSULT THE POSTER

Is this in effect forever?
Of course not. One week after the US release, which is to say Monday,
March 22, will have been plenty of time for the packages to arrive from
BN and Amazon, and the fans to have visited their local bookstores over
the weekend. You can disregard this post after that date.

Only as a community can we prevent spoilers! Do your part!

Copied from the one I posted on MX. Sorry for the overlap.
Same. *still hasn't read Max*
Same here as well.
...yeah, go read something else. Star Trek novels are better than that.

Namely because Spock.
I'm in the middle of at least that many books, I think :\ The library must hate me, I take their books hostage...

Also some of them are really pretty good. There's one with a pie fight, crew of the Enterprise (Kirk's enterprise, none of this Picard bullshit or anyone else) versus Klingons.
Out of curiosity, how is it?

*has purchased it for others but has no intention of reading it herself*
Right, but I mean for those of us who don't want to see it yet, just throw a *SP* in the OP. No big deal.
Fang and Dylan become lovers.

:D
*giggles*

Wouldn't that be something...yes, I think I'd read that. *nods*
It's clearly meant to be.

See, Fang has shown literally no sexual interest in Girls at all. He didn't bond with Iggy when he described the girls in book three-he was clearly uninterested.

This either means that he's asexual or gay. Since I seriously doubt that Patterson knows what an Asexual is-seriously, has any writer ever included an openly asexual character? It pisses me off-he's clearly gay.

Dylan is Max's, "Other half." They each have half of the same personality. Depending on your definition of the word, this could mean that they're very similair-as if they were split down the middle. Maybe they're siblings. Anyways, you could argue that whatever Fang feels for Max would be doubled for someone who's like Max, but a guy. Dylan, meanwhile, is gay just because he's perfect, and, as everyone knows, all perfect guys are either gay or asexual (Like me.)

Thus, Fang and Dylan will hook up.
Then perhaps we'd be spared from the next installment, as JP would have been murdered brutally by all of the devastated fangirls over the unfortunate turn of events.

Ha, and Max and Iggy will fall in love and admit that global warming doesn't exist .

Ain't gonna happen, but it's fun to think up, right?

And write fanfictions about.
You know what? I could probably go to my dad's office and find a copy from last month XD He gets free books that are not yet on the shelves all the time. *Is reading one right now* I also got the first copy of Witch and Wizard that way. I have yet to even open it up XD
