I'm sorry my posts were so jumbled and disordered yesterday. I was just a little bit frazzled, if you know what I mean. It's hard for ME to follow what I wrote, haha. Things are a little better today. Some teachers just want to sit and talk about what happened, and others just power through and give us tons of work. So it's been weird. The girl who was shot is better, but they couldn't get the bullet out because it was too close to the spinal column. Some guy that she follows on youtube did a song for her. :3 They found the boys and the gun, and arrested them. They both were charged with a ton of crimes, so... Good luck to them. Or not.

Seriously hating my teacher right now. He assigns us projects, we get them done early, what does he do? He goes, "Oh yeah, well. The thing that says extra credit on the handout? The extra credit that you didn't do? Well, it's not really extra credit. I forgot about that. So have your 5-page essay by tomorrow, okay?"

I know I can write it, I'm just pissed because I thought I was done.

A late reply, but Jesus. I'm glad you're okay, and well, the girl might not be doing great, but some idiot shot her inside a small classroom in the /neck/ and she's going to live. And get to recover. Which, I mean, holy shit. While she is horrifically unlucky that she was the one who caught the bullet, it could have easily been a lot worse. 

And just... wow. I can't even comprehend something like that happening at a school.

She was outside, cause we were standing behind her. It could very easily been anyone of the people standing outside.

 

Update on her condition - She is paralyzed on the right side, she has now developed pneumonia, and they can't remove the bullet because it's too close to the spinal column. She's on a ventilator. It doesn't look too good.

 

Thanks for the support, I really don't care if you weren't here the minute I posted. What really matters to me is that you guys care enough to reply. It's incredible to think that people halfway around the world give a flip about you.

Pneumonia can be a fucker, but it usually doesn't kill young, healthy people nowadays.

Also as far as I know there is no need to remove bullets shot from a modern gun unless they pose an obvious risk.

In sum I hope she'll be okay, though I worry about the right-side-specific paralysis because it sounds like head trauma to me. Here's hoping I'm dumb and she makes a full recovery.

So I was on tumblr and one of the people I follow started posting Merlin gifs.

 

So I got the first season from the library and I'm on the 6th episode and I'm hardcore shipping Merthur already and it hurts so bad because I know it'll never be really canon. So I'm pretty sure I'll be reading fanfiction again here shortly.
