And one day of celebration. And then I'm no longer a HS student ^^

Planning a super-dramatic scene and wondering exactly how plausible it is. It's cool and sets up drama, but... does it really make sense?
...no, not really.
Because I am super-whore, what I am worried about is the ability of someone at death's door having, let's say, the residual energy to jump someone else, hold them down, and do some injury to them. Possible y/n?

Depends how close. If they've been bleeding on the deck for a while, then unless they're just going to shoot said person, the answer is no. To actually get up and jump someone else, they'd need to have been only recently shot/stabbed. Remember, they're already loosing energy, so any other crazy action would be terribly difficult.
EDIT: In writing though, you can suspend this belief for a period of two or three seconds, just long enough for the person to quickly jump up and stab or shoot the target, then collapse. Not very realistic, but it's so common by this point that it wouldn't be paid any mind.

He's crazy and thinks that his friend is about to give away his secret (that he's a serial killer), and so obviously the thing to do is tackle the sucker.
Post tackling he does collapse, however.

That isn't what I asked. I'm asking, is his pneumonia and fever bad enough to bring him to death's door? If so, he'd barely be able to breathe, much less attack a guy. If he's just hospitalized, and a month away from death, then sure, go for it.

Oh aye. Derp. This is late-nineteenth-century doctoring, diagnosis, and treatment. In today's world he would probably be out of the hospital recuperating at home -- in this world he's in the hospital, has made up his will, and no one is much expecting to see him survive.

If he is indeed at 'death's door', the answer should be obvious. He shouldn't be able to talk, much less attack someone.
