Ever since I read 2001: A Space Odyssey, I have wanted a flying car... because face it, I will never get to vacation on the moon >:
Get a Doctorate in Biology and become an astronaut. Maybe NASA will have gotten enough their shit together with the HLV to be sending folks there in another dozen years or so.
I think not, really...

Mostly I have been disappointed to have lived through two years that were supposed to be important according to those books, and nothing happened in either. Fuck.
Well, about 50 more years to 2061. Something more interesting then some assholes plowing airplanes into buildings has to happen between now and then.
Oh boy. Hopefully we won't be living in a dystopia by then... it's probably one of my legitimate fears, and if it gets the best of me I'll pick a nice remote spot in Montana, far away from any bombing targets.
Well, considering that fifty years ago we were on the verge of nuclear war with the Soviets, having recently wrapped up the worlds first true global conflict, I don't know how we're going to top it.

...now that I think about it, other than the September 11 attacks, has anything interesting actually happened between '75 and now?

Besides, something interesting better happen. I highly doubt I'll be around to see 3001.
Oil <.>

Fall of the Soviet Union, possibly invention of the internet.
Neither of those were really instantaneous events. I suppose you could argue the Berlin Wall, but I don't see that as counting for much.

Btw, any luck with the ARG?
Oh aye. Uh... Chernobyl maybe.

At the moment, I'm digitizing some of my notes for another project, as well as transferring image files around, and I've found a few oddities. (Such as an appraisal letter from the 30s for a gentleman named Mueller.)

Anything specific I can do in a WWII timeframe?
Is there some kind of paper you can type up by the Russians to Stalin, or Khrushchev, or whomever it would make sense to be performing an initial investigation of the early Itex. Maybe the commies were responsible for allowing her to make the company in the first place?
I can definitely find or fake something along those lines.
Nomming craisins.
