Being pelted with elastics (uh, rubber bands...) But I have Mountain Dew and Peppermint Bark (oddly, not a horrible combination) and no parents are home, so I'm all :D while trying to forget about homework.

I'd call them rubber bands. The things you use on hair -- those are hair elastics / ponytail holders.
