It's usually the parents that ruin it, actually.
I know a guy, he was 18, his girlfriend was 17. Her parents approved of him, but they were just looking for a lawsuit. They walked in on them having sex (or something close enough). Called the police. The poor guy is in jail for Statutory Rape, even though it was just as much the girl's idea.
