Writing out my Math notes.

I've never actually written a real exam before. So I don't know how this stuff works. But I'm bad at math so I'm hoping I don't fail. What baffles me more is how my grade in Math hasn't changed at all. Not even since the beginning of the year. What the hell? HOW CAN I HAVE THE SAME GRADE? -So confused-

Also I realize I am very screwed for my Social mid-term. I have learned nothing in that class, save the fact that one group of indigenous people actually benefited from cultural contact with Europeans. The other classes did this two months ago. They're on the seventh chapter. We've done one and a half... I am so screwed.

Re: Math grade.

Your teacher is lazy.

XD

Probably.

But everyone else's grade changed...

Finally finished my speech. :D

New playlist! :D So happy, but somehow my iPod has been getting gradually... moodier? My music keeps getting darker. XD My most recent additions have been the Black Veil Brides, Bullet for My Valentine, and Seether. Somehow this makes me very happy... o.O

Anyone care to help me pick a book to read for American Lit?

From this list, btw.

I've only read two and a half of those... >.>

Word of advice: DO NOT read Native Son. We had to last year. *shudder* Grapes of Wrath was a little... much. He took an entire chapter to describe a turtle crossing the road.

I really really want to read Catcher in the Rye...

Alright. xD That helps. Thanks.

I have Catcher in the Rye next to my bed, where it's currently being put off for two other books. I'm not going to read it for school.

I love Vonnegut. Cat's Cradle especially.

Ayn Rand is interesting, but she kind of... rants. And goes on for pages and repeats herself over and over to make her point.

I chose Cat's Cradle and Anthem for my summer reads for that class. xD Loved the former, loathed the latter.

House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros.

It's a series of vignettes that you can easily BS. -Is doing that now- It's actually pretty straightforward too. And it has some poetic bits in it.

The Kite Runner is good too. Violent and really sad at a lot of parts, but good.

THE SHINING. :D Just 'cause.

Just don't read Mark Twain. GOD DAMN I hate his books.

I've heard it's the opposite of straightforward, actually. xD But I'll keep it in mind.

I'm reading the Kite Runner, like, right now.

I'm so bad with horror. Dx I watched the movie, and that was alright because of the special effects' quality, but I dunno if I could do good horror writing and be focused on anything other than the creeping terror.

We're reading him in a couple of months. xD And my elementary school is named after him. :D

I found it pretty straightforward in the second read-through. You kind of have to know what happens later on to make connections in the beginning of the story. Reading the introduction is helpful.

-Loves The Kite Runner- I especially love how it's published recently.

I actually haven't read any horror books as of late. But my mind usually tries to guess what will happen next and be in awe of the gore instead of being scared.

Gah. x.x I hate Twain. I tried reading Tom Sawyer, I really did. But it's evil. And boring. And just awful.
