That's 'cause it wasn't >.>;; Uh... the writer -- Hird, I think -- was originally Alsatian, grew up speaking French. Confusing region, Alsace.
That's my story and I'm fucking sticking to it.

Betr: Your work for the Reich
Dear Comrade Janssen!
Thank you very much for the material you sent me. The new restrictions make it very hard for me to have free time to look for material from outside the Reich for my work
and it was nice of you to think of me, when you without a doubt suffer due to the same restrictions. I hope everything goes well in Lendeheim and that the unending air raids aren't keeping you from your work.
Mr. Todt agreed with your results. He was impressed when I sent them to him and he agrees with Herr von Krosigk that we should ask the Institute for more funds. Fritz agrees with me - your work in Lendehim is possibly of larger importance to the Reich. "Unending speed?" (not sure of that word) especially is most important.
Hopefully this letter reaches you without delay. The Post has lately been unreliable and some of my letters don't reach you when I'm expect them too. Please forgive me but I must go now.
With comradely thanks (Gruessen doesn't really have a good English translation)
August Hirt
