I thought the Hachette mods were doing pretty good...
Poor MX, everyone hates it.
Although my question is why Genn is the only one ever doing her damn job.
Hachette Book Group was an okay guy. Didn't fuck around with things too much.
It's a bit like an ex-boyfriend to me, the kind who was fun but got borderline abusive. There were good bits, but if you ask me now: total asshole.
Now, MR fandom? That one is genuinely an abusive relationship with me. :\ Sometimes it's so good to me... and then it hurts me. But I can't break away.
XD He was always very blunt, never danced around the subject or beat around the bush like stupid mods do now.
>.> Dude, I know what you mean. I think a lot of people here have had that relationship with it.
I wonder, do you think Genn is intelligent enough to demand the ARG under Young Writers, or do you thing that she'll let it slide?
Other than that, I wish she'd have put some more concrete consequences in there. I pressed her personally about the last two items over the last few days, and it seems like she and others have been "discussing" it since forever.
I had some sewing to do, and so queued up some music so's not to die of boredom.
Lo and behold, the last song I'd had on was by the Amateur Transplants, and I almost stabbed myself for laughing.
Now this is interesting. I've been debating with Lilyflower the possibility of Dylan raping Max. That sure would darken the series, eh?

... I didn't know how much I wanted this until now.
And I really can see the dubcon pheromone-druggy aspect actually happening. Well, okay. JP would never write it, but if someone else were doing this and if it were an actual YA series (rather than the castrated remains of one) -- yes. Otherwise it feels like wasting all the crazy programming behind Dylan's character.
Exactly. We're all hoping for the pheromone-druggy thing, but unless it's Beth going onto Fang, I somehow doubt we'll see it in this series.
Though, Gunther-Hagen implicitly suggesting Dylan and Max go to town was pretty unexpected. We shall see.
*futurevision* Shut up Crowley.
It's a shame, really -- we're being trotted past a regular Chekhov's Armory of things that could be used to interesting purposes, but instead, sugary-sweet relationship drama of the type you can find everywhere else in the YA section, except with wings pasted on.
My jaw dropped and I'm pretty sure I fistpumped when I read that bit. I genuinely was not sure if I were reading an excerpt of a book to be published, or someone's really bad romance fanfic.
Yep, that's why I tend to make sure all of my characters are constantly miserable.
I got a little grin there. I've actually read a really bad book where that happened, so it was strange to see it in MR.
