Welcome to the Secret Confessions thread. Beyond the pure anonymity of the internet, there lies a certain level of understanding behind all the accounts here on FF. The SC account carries burden of allowing the user to give a candid, private confession with (hopefully) understanding feedback. The SC thread is for other posters to give kind and/or helpful advice, words of empathy, or a secret of their own (under the SC name or not).
This account is a group account, and EVERYONE needs to treat it respectfully. By posting under the Secret Confessor, you are pledging to refrain from hate mail, "finger-pointing", insulting and being a jerkface. By posting in the SC thread, you are pledging to keep the comments respectful. This has not yet been a problem, but it's nice to have written down "just in case".
If you would like to use the SC account for ANY reason beside posting in this thread, please PM me- even if it's under the SC name (this is not to exert authority, but to maintain order over a very accessible account).
I agree with Megan. I like fruit. I was more looking for which brands work.
And... okay, I was just... two things.
1. Does using a tampon REALLY make you not a virgin?
2. It doesn't matter because I tried it already. It hurt. A lot.
1. No. It doesn't. Sex makes you not a virgin. Using a tampon can break your hymen -- but so can gymnastics, horseback riding, bike riding, stretching in certain ways. Your hymen is not a reliable indicator of virginity, and your gyno will know this.
2. It shouldn't have. Make sure you read the instructions in the box... and try the 'slender' kind. Seriously, it helps.
1. No. It just means you use tampons. Virginity is a have-you-had-sex thing, not an anatomical thing so much. The anatomical bit is because there's usually a little slip of tissue at the entrance of the vagina called a hymen. Supposedly, having your hymen intact indicates you're a virgin, but seeing as some people are born without them, some people lose them horse-riding, and some people's hymens just naturally degrade over time, it really means nothing.
2. Either Tampax or Kotex, I can't remember which, sells super-slender tampons that may work better for you.
As to deodorant that really works... Old Spice works well for me, but I'd also recommend Degree or Secret.
Also, and I speak from awkward experience, make sure you're sticking it in far enough. If it's only halfway up, it will hurt like hell. Took me three months to figure that one out.
