With fanfic, though, it isn't original anyway... and ymmv but to me the greatest honor in the world would be to have, say, Reality Check wholeheartedly ripped off by JP.

Yes, but people do add their own ideas, and/or original characters, etc.
XD That'd be beyond amazing. I think many people would become fans again, if that happened.

. . . .I sub consciously think up an argument for almost any post. . . if the mods actually wanted a. . . not horrid, fact-supported, etc, argument. . .they'd use this, or something of the like.
I wouldn't consider it 'mocking', really, though.

The correct wording for that argument is... imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. It's called fan-fiction, not "hater" fiction, right? And someone should say, antis are not necessarily "haters."

Even then. I still adore the School, and STW occupies a permanent place in my bookbag. I don't like Max, didn't like the last few books, but that doesn't mean I hate every aspect of the series.
For all the stupid that makes me want to die, there are bright spots where MR is genuinely funny.
