The brief version:
Fight between old antis and Olivia, Mackenzie, et. al.
Keiralee got them all off the forum and onto a group called "The Revolution" in hopes of containment.
Mods saw "revolution" and had nightmares about last summer, and asked them to change the name.

Yeah... Lots of bannings all at once, starting in August, ending in a petition group that had over 70 members and a lovely closed discussion by Hachette before it was deleted by the mods.

And I wish I could have seen the beginning of the site. Unfortunately I only joined MDW a year ago, as opposed to the old antis who've been here since it was just MX, with no moderation at all.

Oh yeah, I found the closest date I'll ever find to when I joined MDW for the first time, thanks to my ex's old profile. XD (It still has my stupid stuff on it, too.) It's April 30th, and then I'll have been in the fandom for a full year! :D
