Wait, so you're rewriting "The Machine Stops" by E. M. Forster?
...

Probably.

*has never read that*

On a side note...crap.

Ah, well, it's a general premise enough...

>_>
Not really... it's also involved in Snow Crash in just about those words. We escape the end of internet, but not by much.

"The Machine Stops" was one of my favorite stories as a kid, and it's what instantly came to mind :V
>_>

Mood is now dampened.
Doesn't mean you can't write it :D It's been like ninety years since "The Machine Stops" was published, and I think it's a concept that needs more love anyway.
Hasn't the internet been around for, like...twenty years?
The Internet as we know it is about twenty years old, yes. Arpanet, its predecessor, has been around since the 1960s.
Ah...

Anyways, I'll still write it. ^_^ Maybe add a few new thoughts or whatever. Meh.
Share? :D
Of course. :D

Mind, I'm only one page done, and I have a test tomorrow so I have to study, so I won't be posting anything until saturday at the earliest, but I'll get to it.
^_^

Did you talk to your friend?
Yes. ^_^ And it turned out far better than I expected.

She was a bit depressed at first, but we had a long talk, and in the end I think we both ended up the better for it. She apparently had never talked with any friends about it, so she got to deal with it better.

All in all, I think it helped her and our friendship.

And then we confessed our love to eachother. XD

...

...Oh, bug- *poofs out of existence as the fanfic ends*
