I've relatives on both sides who are freemasons. It's not exactly a secret in our family, and if anything, we think it's funny.

Failed revolution? Do tell!

As far as I can tell, it's no more a secret than being in, say, the Boyscouts, and with similair activities for that matter, the respect and fear nonmembers have for it's members notwithstanding.

I would, but I'm not quite sure how famous my grandcestor was, so you lot could potentially figure out important facts about me if he's, say, the only guy who did anything in it.

EDIT: Nevermind. He's just one of about a billion names.

My grandfather on my mothers side was a Jewish Freemason, so it's fine, I think.

Ah. Then it was probably something else I was thinking of.

1) Happy New Years, all.

2) Are we gonna do something awesome like a new years resolution thread, and follow them through the year?

3) BIIIIG thunderstorms here. Well, big for here, but probably weenie for some of you guys. Anyway, best thunderstorm I've seen in ages, and there isn't even any lightning (yet!)

4) I have toblerone. neener-neener!

My friends found all the accent videos I made for you guys on youtube.

This is more embarrassing than I thought it would be.  v.v

I wanted to do this after/as the clock turned, but I only have access through my iPod and really couldn't be bothered.

So, happy new year, everyone. 2011 was far and away the best year of my life, mostly because of theatre and Tumblr, which sounds rather pathetic...

I still have homework and there's school on Tuesday. I'm finding it hard to care but I probably should.

On this trip, which ends Monday, I have thus far seen two bald eagles, multiple dolphins, four raccoons at the top of a very tall tree, assorted wading birds, small lizards, and lots of gators, a couple of which were viewed from a few feet away on a boat. I also held a baby alligator, which was adorable and scaly in a way that was cool to hold. At the risk of sounding petulant, I really wanted to see a manatee and didn't get to, which was a pity. Maybe tomorrow, though that's unlikely.

I miss my computer and my bed and the lack of humidity. I don't want to leave this weather, which is lovely, for the snow and cold but mostly cold back in Colorado.

I'm saddened by the fact that I'll miss Sherlock tomorrow, but I suppose I'll live. Done typing now.

Happy 2012, y'all.

2012. Here's hoping for a good year!

Happy New Year, all.

Here's hoping 2012 is much better than 2011.

Wow, what a fucking way to start the New Year.

Got yelled at four times even though I've only been home for less than four. In the presence of my parents for about six. My favourite part definitely has to be when my parents asked my younger siblings if they wanted me to move out. Well, fuck you too.

Don't worry parents, I'm fucking counting down the days I get to leave too. Until then, fuck it, the less time I spend at home the better. Time to find a bunch of places to volunteer at and libraries to spend a bunch of afternoons at.

Feel the need to add that my new year's was a lot better than that before family.

-Sigh-

And I'm stuck with them forever, sadly.

Soooo.

Now that I'm stuck going back the way from ole' Daniel, I'm branching out to try and find the descendants of Crazy John Gray.

Which sounded alright in theory... not so much in practice.

Okay: John Gray had 5 kids. One had no children. One was my greatgrandad, and all of great-grandad's descendents are already documented.

So I'm looking for 3 families, the Kears, Sullivans and Trengroves. Since grandad's here, I got the names of all of his cousins. Between the three families, there are seven children. That means seven families who could have great-grandkids by now.

...not having much luck so far.

Also managed to find my second cousins on facebook - my mums cousins' kids. It's kinda weird thinking that I share two great grandparents with them.
