They don't mean harm.
They just suck at relating with me.
I'm an apathetic, misanthropic, anti-social critic who lacks most emotions and doesn't really care about anything. My dad, on the other hand, is an outgoing social butterfly who tends to have an optimistic outlook on life and an enjoyment of everyday things.
Needless to say, I was probably adopted.

Nah. I think it's a typical parent-child personality foil. As an example, my parents both like modern music and modern artists. As a result, my brother and I listen to romantic-era classical music.

Don't bother worrying about it until after you've gotten your Bachelor's degree and are going for a Master's. Nothing before that really matters in the job market.
