You may know this, but Zooey Deschanel sings in a band from time to time >.>;;
(They're called She & Him.)
Having never heard the song, I'm sure that it's because Ms. Gaga put in deep, metaphorical lyrics.
Which is really stupid.
Something that many people don't understand about language, even English professors, is that it's designed to make things more clear, so that you can convey an idea. If your message is so buried in metaphor that no one can properly decide on what you're getting at, then that isn't art, that's garbage.
Which is why you never hear me go into long trains about the metaphors of Maximum Ride, save once, because if an author really wants his or her audience to know something, (s)he'll tell them outright.
I love that song.
It's so depressing. :)
Well, not as depressing as that Simon and Garfunkel song that has the lyrics "Mushroom cloud of death"
The Atlas Shrugged movie (part one) is set to open on April 15th.
Here is the trailer. I haven't watched it yet, but expect great lulz.
I might die in the theater.
Edit: HOLY GOD ANDREW RYAN IS JOHN GALT AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
My head tilted itself 45 degrees left within the first thirty seconds.
Who am I kidding. Consider my ticket bought and paid for. TRAINS, BITCHES.
Edit: Also, Armin Shinnerman isn't playing Galt, much to my disappointment. But still, holy god.
That awful moment when I remember that there's a spider somewhere around where I'm sitting right now.
