I got rejected from my dream school, didn't get national merit finalist after getting semifinalist, and my second dream school is too expensive for me to seriously consider. I don't really care about the rest of the schools.
...That considered, emotionally speaking, I'm doing quite well. Perhaps my subconscience is a masochist...?

Today I learned that...
1.) My entire English class really sucks at reading comprehension. That, or the test was really hard. Our class average was something like 65, I got a 82. Normally, I get 95+. Even my friend thought I'd get a 90 and then she did better than I did. I'm interested to learn how the AP kids did.
2.) I memorized most of the military conquests of Napoleon we learned in class (Italian, Egypt, Toulen, Whiff of Grapeshot, Peninsular, Russia, and Waterloo) as opposed to what I actually cared about, basically his reforms to France.
3.) Our midterm was about 10x longer than the AP kids. By the time it was 2:30 (1 hour and a half into the test) most of the AP kids were done and no one from my class even stood up yet. :|
4.) I write too much on these things. :\
Erm, not to hate on any of you. It's just really competitive between the two honours programs at our school. And basically, everyone was going on about how IB was just a bunch of essays.... and then we got a multiple choice midterm with an essay and they got only an essay and we had to know so much more (1789-1891, while they only needed to know 1789-1815) and overall, I thought it was pretty harsh on us...

Praying that Gingrich wins SC. I know he's the projected winner already, but look where that got them in Iowa. It'll be so boring if Romney wins. He'll basically be the nominee for the rest of the season and there won't be any good, old-fashioned, cringe-worthy campaign ads or debates. Then he'll just deface Obama with incorrect statistics and generalizations and that shit is fucking annoying. I want the candidates clawing each other's eyes out for a good while.

Given Lizard-Eyes' history with women, I think he shouldn't be doing as well as he is with the female demographic. This worries me. I no longer provide estimates on what new stupid the States will cook up - I was tired of overestimating the sensibility and humanity the majority have.

And we aren't all stupid. We did defeat SOPA and PIPA.I don't mind the Gingrich's foreign policy that much, and his NASA policy is very tempting, but I'm going to need more convincing before I vote for the guy.

Faux news scares me. I find it difficult to comprehend, actually - our news outlets over here have their biases, which you can pick up on pretty quick if you care, but even if you picked the furthest left and the furthest right, they'd still be saying more or less the same thing. The media here takes a distinct amount of glee in slinging mud where they can, when it's deserved.
SOPA and PIPA got kicked because, while it was lobbied for by hollywood etc, the internets generation could pretty easily express displeasure via the internet medium without too much fuss.

Meanwhile, ACTA, which the USA signed, has already passed, and behind closed doors. While it doesn't actually do much, it's still a legal document. NZ signed it too. Mind you, NZ passed the Skynet law, and nothing's really come of it so far.
As for Gingrich, ...eh, he's not as bad as Romney, who I just don't like at all. I don't know too much about his policies, and don't have to care too much. My mother's in disbelief of his name. Thinks his parents really hated him.

Oh god, Gingrich is awful. His ego is visible from space, and he calls Obama a radical, a socialist, anti-American, (pretty sure he's called him Muslim before), etc, etc. He suggested having poor children work as janitors in schools (after firing the unionized workers, of course) because they don't have any sense of what it's like to get up on Monday and go to work (because their parents are lazy, or something). He's called Spanish the language of the ghetto. He's suggested that we have terrorist attacks more often so that Americans are reminded that we're in a war.
