I have most of the plot of the noir fic sketched out and waiting to be written... and yet... there's part of me that's just too easily-distracted to write it, and there's part that insists it's terrible and stereotypical and shouldn't be written at all.

Hmmmmmmm, I can;t think of specific moments, but I definitely liked the feel of it a lot. It was very cliche Private eye stuff. Very funny.

I've loved that shit since I read the Tracer Bullet strips out of Calvin & Hobbes, so writing it is pretty awesome-feeling.

Yeah -- I haven't written a good private-eye monologue for Jeb yet, and he's not very prone to creative metaphors, but... it works.
Heh, chapter 4 Jeb actually mentions his trenchcoat offhand, and there's more stereotype to come... this may not come to pass, but I have some good-old red-blooded Nazi-fighting planned in. As well as some mad science <3 -
