And being a history geek, that possibility horrifies me.
Come to think of it a lot of my mod hate comes from a really strong historical background for me. They delete posts for no reason. That's just. No.

I like the memories.... I'm really weird about that stuff. It's like.... a huge chunk of why being banned was hard was all the conversations lost. I like to be able to go back and re-trace everything that's happened. I'm that person who takes a million pictures and saves every one of them, and never clears out her inbox. I don't like having the memories killed.

Yeah. Not having stuff like the conversation that spawned RC or some of the intricate theories I wrote is... kind of heartbreaking.

The fact of the history of the fandom being unknown. . . I mean, I realize this could be seen as 'just one fandom', is horrifying, baffling, and the thought of it is killing me.

This is NOT just a fandom. If this were 'just one fandom,' we wouldn't be here now. This is SO much more than people seem to see it as.

I said 'it could be seen', dude, the old site, practically changed my life in a way.
I mean, how many hours have we not taken with this.
Obviously to us, it isn't 'just a fandom', but you must admit, many won't see it that way.
