I mean, all the other wind instruments you can't as easily steal/borrow really quickly and try without using their mouthpiece/reed....so it seems like an okay thing.....

I heard it was bad -- a friend passed along a summary and it sounded awful. As in, I've read and written fanfic that was better (although that's not too high a benchmark).
I spent most of my summer in and out of the state (and part of it in London!), and I'm fuckall busy* now so I don't know why I'm around at all, but I'm here. How's tricks?
* I'm sorting out baby's first house-share at the moment, which means I'm waiting for the lady I "interviewed" with yesterday to text me back on whether she thinks I'm a good fit for the house and, if that doesn't work out, waiting for money transfers to clear so I can apply for school housing. Aaaand I have a paper to finish.

How was London? Because, a) I'm super duper jealous that you got to go and b) I want to do study abroad there next summer.

Life's been chaotic and weird and busy, but really enjoyable! I'm definitely in the house I mentioned last night, we're all meeting up on Sunday, and we sign the lease on Monday to move in by the end of the week. Uhh, I'm in for classes this semester starting on Monday, including Russian and an English class.
London was fantastic! I was there on a study-abroad through my college on Shakespeare. We spent three weeks there, and every day was amazing. I would totally recommend doing study abroad there if you can at all, it's a wonderful city.

I moved into college on Thursday. I think I've finally got most of everything sorted out, but I still don't have my books ordered since I only found out what my schedule was yesterday, and my internet only got connected about five minutes ago. We have an entire week of orientation, and I don't see how they expect us to go work our asses off in community service for hours and then have fun skating at frickin' 9:30 tonight. Sorry, I'm a lazy person.
Also, I'm already behind and classes don't start until Tuesday! I only finished my summer reading book yesterday and have not yet written the essay on it that's due tomorrow/tonight. :D
I'm tired and hungry and my roommate is loud as crap and totally insane, but I'm actually having fun.

Dang, a week of orientation? May God have mercy on your soul. I had a day of orientation, but idk, I was a transfer student so maybe everyone else had to go through hell.
I also don't have my books, mostly because fuck driving an hour there and an hour back just to do that one thing. Aaaand I don't know if we have internet in the house, so uhh I guess we can start a Bookless Internetless College Students club or something.
I'm also not done with a summer paper, so like, I feel your pain.
