Loved them. Full of cliches, but in a good way. You can almost hear the dry, slightly drunk voice over retelling the story in sepia tones. And Roland plays the ditzy assistant who just happened to notice a bit too much very well.
I am very fond of the bit at the end where Jeb resolves to ask Roland about the tie designed for tying wrists to bedposts over dinner during their date.
(Betraying everything you believe in, eyes locked firmly on all the tie, mind locked firmly on everything it represents, ie. sleeping with the handsome stranger sitting across from you)

My opinion is on the next page. Well, as much of an opinion as I ever give, anyway. This is the first chapter I can't find it in me to be all *squee* about. Not that it wasn't well written, or anything, but....
