No, no, I mean.... I guess I worded that poorly. By "I couldn't keep my mouth shut," I meant that I couldn't keep from arguing. And arguing. And arguing more. And backing it up with very vague examples of why internet friends are great.
Yeah. It's funny. 'Cause, that was me trying to explain Facebook to my grandparents. But when I explained fandom to my grandma - just the two of us, without the rest of the family present - she was totally cool with it. And completely anti-mod, when I explained that little detail. XD
XD
I didn't go out and say "Yeah, and I gave like five people my address!"
But I did more or less, admit how close we were. Well, not quite. But I made it clear that we were like friends.
Same, with the friends thing. Once they got over the fact that they're online friends, I think they'd relax a little. But.... Yeah. Like, if we ever met IRL, and THEN my parents figured out that we originally knew another from the internet, it'd be fine. But before then, not so much.

My friends are neither supportive, nor protective and responsible. They wouldn't worry that I'd get raped or something, they'd just be all "omg you're a freak that's so weird!"
And then talk about it amongst themselves, and make a point of bringing it up in the presence of anyone and everyone, giving it a very negative connotation just to make me look bad. Yeah. They're my friends, I love them.

Elisabeth is a WOW addict, and has friends from there. So she is supportive.
Jess, doesn't care, and already knows I'm a freak. Megan is the same.
Kalene is awesome, and will love me no matter what. XD *loves her*
And Destiny is my best friend, the responsible one, and practically my older sister. So she doesn't approve.
