My parents are actually capable of picking clothes that fit me. It's pretty amazing. And they understand the whole "no, I will not wear a dress/skirt unless it's formal/nice" thing, so I usually don't have much of a problem.
I've managed to get my Mom to give me 60 or 70 dollars every once and a while and let me shop on my own.
My parents.... It's odd, how it works. They won't give me money, but they'll buy me clothing if I need it. And I will only go to the store if I need something or if somebody needs me to go with them. I hate shopping with friends. Hate it. They're all preps and I end up in Abercrombie and Fitch like "uh.... I'm gonna go to f.y.e. See you there." But if I can get my dad or grandma to take me, it's not bad. They're okay with the fact that I will buy everything in plain black.
I can't remember which one but I wanted into a prep store once spent two minutes in there and walked out muttering never again.
I've spent my fair share of time in Aeropstale, Clair's, Icing, Abercrobie, Pac Sun, Macy's........
I don't mind Claire's because I love jewelery.
Claire's is so PINK. It's blinding. And I don't really like jewelry.... don't dislike it, really, just.... meh.
I love shiny...
Dude, when I was 7 I loved Claire's.
Obviously things have changed since then.

*refuses to go into any of the prep stores*
...... I still like shiny things.... they make me squee...
When I was 6-9ish, I didn't mind Claire's. When I was 4, I was terrified of it, because that's where I got my ears pierced. It seems scary when you're that young.
When I was 10 I saved up 20 dollars and got my ears pierced.
