Normal winters for us don't go much lower than about 10 or 15 degrees.

Oh, hadn't noticed that, my bad.
That's about the same here, sometimes it can be -22 degrees Fahrenheit or lower with wind chill though.. -

One time here we reached -20 degrees Celsius and everyone was complaining about how cold it was and how school should have been cancelled.
I remember walking in sneakers and a winter jacket.
I think we get school cancelled if we hit -30... -
