The problem with the Saw series is that the pain is all physical-plus, there isn't actually any torture. Only devices killing people painfully.

And doing it with live people is scarier-machines are more...oh, I don't know. It's just that, while you're afraid, it's a different type of horror entirely. It's like the difference between knowing that your dog will get hit intentionally by a car or a man will carve your dog up with a knife.

Maybe because people value the lives of animals over that of most people, unless the animal is something unpleasant.
True, after all the machine is just doing what the person designed it for, while if it's a person then you know they're probably getting some satisfaction from your pain in causing it. -

Just got back from my cousin's party.
Well, after that, we went to the store. You get enough strange looks when you're walking around in shorts and a tank top when it's 30 degrees. You get even more weird looks when you're wearing a Santa hat. Bonus points for skipping and singing along to the Christmas carols on the intercom in random grocery stores. *had so much fun* *was dancing, singing and yelling random shit in the middle of multiple stores*
*is incredibly hyper and happy right now* *hugs everyone* I love you.
