It was so worth it when I bought it :D The manga, no lie, keeps me in the fandom. Because it is fabulous.

Personally, I think MR would've been way better served as a manga from the beginning.

The pacing's much better, and since only the dialogue really remains from the books, it flows a lot better -- and there are some incredibly awesome, emotional moments in the second volume involving Jeb, where all the emotion is conveyed without a word. It's a beautiful thing.
