It kind of falls under the plot-armor clause (things that are too big for me to conceivably retcon get left as they are, which was why I didn't kill Roland off -- well, that, and he's too much damn fun to write [and I couldn't do that to Jeb]), so. I haven't sorted it out completely, but Itex does take a large hit, I think. Probably not just from kid-army causes, though.

Good :D
*is interested to see how you handled it* I... dislike the way JP did that. I mean I dislike a lot of things JP did, but that just, was so bleh...

Speaking of fun reading... finished the chapter. Ari is so aww... *cuddles* *agrees with Harrison* And well, Reilly and Kyle are Reilly and Kyle :D.
I just don't believe a few hundred kids can plausibly take down a multinational corporation ._. PR storm, maybe. Protests? Since fucking when has that ever worked?

I'm getting to like Harrison a lot more :3 (Although I do think she gets into a bit of an argument over Ari with Jeb. Which will be fun.)
*agrees* It's just not... plausible. At all. Tell me, do the later books explicitly state that Itex is no more? Apart from in Max's thoughts, that is *doesn't really trust Max's POV* Figure you'd have a better idea than I do.

*excite* Same, she's... not necessarily nicer, but not as bad as I thought she was.
It's pretty much all Max's POV, but my unreliable memory seems to recall a few offhand comments from other characters indicating that Itex has bit the dust. (And oh god I'm trying to check and coming to the conclusion that TFW is an active agent of brain-drain. I can feel myself getting stupider, I think. Albeit oh god, Jeb D:)

Yeah >.> TBH I didn't really like her too much at the start either, but... she'll probably have a larger role in upcoming chapters. Which I am frankly thrilled about -- it's very, very refreshing to be able to write women for once, for one thing, and for the other, Harrison is enjoyable as a narrator.

Mmm... Itex biting the dust is just so, yeah. *prefers to pretend that didn't happen generally**is at a point where I will willingly disregard huge portions of the book* *is glad that I don't need to make things line up* So, um, good luck? (*giggles* It's true unfortunately)

Same. But her POV was surprisingly enjoyable, and so different to the others, too. Sharper I think. There aren't any dumb characters, at all, actually, but she's a lot more with it than the others.
I just cheerfully focus on my mad scientists and ignore that thing called plot, except when it drives a truck into my status quo. (STW was pretty stupid, but... in an enjoyable way. It had some regard for science. TFW is just dumb D:)

Kyle and Harrison are really the only two normal people in the cast *snerk* And Kyle's emotionally involved in all the fluffy shenanigans via Reilly, leaving Harrison as the only person standing outside being amused by the drama. (Coincidentally, she actually gets a lot of plot :3)
Well, it seems to be working for you, 'cept for the truck crashing into your status quo at least. (I liked STW, at least I still hoped for more afterwards, even if I thought it really should be better. TFW, well... I didn't end up reading MAX because of it)

Making them both very interesting narrators with such different, sensible opinions on everything. Well, sort of sensible
Yeah, I get along okay in the end of it. (STW had Roland. A book with him in it can't suck too much.)

I don't know how Harrison does it. I really don't.
(I know. The scientists did fairly well in STW, but that's when plot holes really started making themselves noticed, and plot in general took a great nose dive. Somehow. God, you'd think a by-half plan, a kidnapping, and a flight across Europe wouldn't be too hard to write.)

Neither. I think I'd go cheerfully insane if I made my way into the School. Or end up like Kyle, who despite being sane is might as well not be.
(Yeah... I can't wait until I get to rewrite that >.> For one thing, if all goes well we'll get to see Mama ter Borcht on screen, as well as just generally get nonsensical things fleshed out a little.)

I firmly believe that they have some sort of reality-warping field around that place, because there's some things there is just no way. Be fun to work there, though vOv

(Can't wait until you rewrite that either. Our little preview of Mama ter Borcht in the holiday chapters makes me very happy about that, and well, yes... lots of nonsensical things to be fleshed out there)

There probably is. It's a very unreal place, just its very premise. And some of the stuff it's just like O.o. But hey, who doesn't want a little craziness every now and again.
