Just finished wrapping my Uncle's Christmas gift. Was this the right gift for him? Hell yes. Was giving it up the right thing to do? Again, hell yes. Did that make it any easier? 'Course not. *selfish bitch*

*hugs back*
It was a lighter case that belonged to my dad. I don't have a lot of his stuff, so it was hard to give it up. My argument with myself went like this:
Do you own a lighter? No.
Will you ever own one? Probably not.
Do you absolutely need this? No.
Would he like to have it? Yes.
Does he deserve to have it? Yes.
D- shut up, I'll give it to him.
It has a picture of my mom on it, so I know he'll like it, but... *selfish bitch* (He's my mom's brother.)
That's not being selfish. It's something of your dad's with a picture of your mum, of course it's going to be hard to give up. Sure, it may not be logical for you to want it, but since when was sentimentality (it's a word!) logical? *hugs again*

I guess. Still. I know he'll like it. And it coordinates with my sister's gift for him, which was a lighter. Just... yeah. *rambling* *hugs back again*
I have to go finish my Christmas Shopping, because it's the 23rd here, and apparently I'm doing something tomorrow, and then it's Christmas. Which came up much more quickly than I was expecting. Anyway, should be back in... not too long.
