Well, I kind of already apologized and confessed my jealousy.
I wasn't given access to the books until 2nd grade, Then I read the second book, the third, the fourth, the first, re-read everything, and then went in order. Since then I've re-read the books enough to quote from them....I never felt the need to dress up Harry Potter ish, though 0.o.
My parents only wish. When I'm obsessed with anything I simply buy random objects that represent some part of the series. I have model of the Golden Snitch, Harry's Wand, horses all over the place, a brass dagger from my Eragon phase, strings of pearls, a white gold imperial topaz necklace, a charm bracelet, an obsidian arrowhead, a tiny glass figurine of a dragon, silk scarves....It's a bit pricey.
I don't usually use the objects (especially the dagger) that I buy for an obsession. I'm a collector of cute things, I guess.
I have paperbacks 1-5, which is bugging me; I like having either all paperback or all hardcover if I have a series. It just looks neater. I have the two schoolbooks, the tales, and books 6 and 7 in hardcover.
That sounds like fun! Did you get to step into the Yule Ball set?
*has so much HP memorabilia that she can't begin to count, plus all seven books in hardcover, though they're falling apart* *got the first book in second grade*
These were the first books I ever read. If it weren't for Harry Potter, I probably wouldn't read as much as I do now, so I wouldn't have borrowed books to read form my teachers, so I would not have read Maximum Ride, so I would not be here.
My collection includes the full-size Marauder's Map, Hermione's wand, the Time-Turner, Griffindor hat and scarf, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Quidditch Through the Ages, The Tales of Beetle the Bard, and soooo much more.....
