*won't pry*

Alright then. . . .
*offers tea*
Alright?

*is fine* *just, slightly annoyed/just plain awkward with two different conversations*
I know that you were being sarcastic, I generally have a good sense of it, especially since most of what I say in RL is sarcastic responses to people. I've had my dad threaten me many times for being sarcastic. It's so much fun.

*won't ask*
XD I've gotten that too.... My mom used to take all my electronics and books away and ground me for being sarcastic...
*laughs*

Me three.

I've also, however, gotten them taken away for being antisocial, 'not nice', and 'well. . . .because I said so.' >.>
*can top all of that*

Grounded for two weeks. Because "your alarm went off before school in the morning and I fell asleep in the living room next to your room so it woke me up."
*laughs*
I've gotten that too. Especially when our power cut out and it went off at like 2am. xD
o.o Really?

I never really got any of that.

I don't think it ever occurred to them they /could/ take away my books and computer. And grounding was never a set time or anything, just that I randomly wasn't allowed to do something for no particular reason.
For me, 'grounding' is:

-No clubs/sports/dances/other school events.
-No going out with friends.
-No having friends over.
-No computer.
-No TV
-No cell phone
-No non-school books

...Yeah, it sucks ass.
Same, only I'm allowed to go out with friends. So long as it isn't one of my good friends' house. But I'm allowed to crash parties and whatnot on grounding.
I can imagine...

Our version is simply that you've done some unspecified thing, or they're in a bad mood, or feel like you should spend more time with them, and so you're not allowed to go out or invite friends over. And it's highly recommended that you and your computer and phone stay in separate rooms.

But it's not called grounding, and it's just because they care about you... Though I'm not entirely sure how that works.
Ooo! I like that last reason.
