Ahaha. I'm no longer in a level of Spanish where we would take class field trips (pretty much reading and writing only, thank God), but when we did we never had rules like that.
Then again... taking a bunch of schoolkids to an area of the city where there would actually be a lot of Spanish spoken would be kind of a big risk >.>

Yeah, I went to a private school, so this was like.... 7th grade, but we were at early-high school level French. Prep school kids can afford to fly to the other side of the continent. XD -

Anything on my favorites list, ahaha. v.v I fail at remembering names. The Long Version is a good standby, though.
Also a while back I got pretty positive confirmation that Roland showed up as a speaking role in Wings of Wrath... now, if only I were enough of a masochist to force myself through the damn thing... -

What makes me laugh is that every time I try to read it, I get a few chapters in, remember it's the one where Jeb gets killed ridiculously, and I quit XD
Last time I got smart though and tried to sift through the reviews looking for things about ter Borcht. No frickin' dice.
It is a fuckin' monster, and I hate the way her summary is all "lolmg its longest fic evar". No it isn't. I've read fics longer than it. RC may well end up longer than it (if RC itself doesn't, then all the fics in the verse will).
The author is a terribly nice person, though, so... don't judge a person by their fanfic? vOv -
