Thank you.

What does mandatory mean? in pronunciation?
Yeah. You need the accent or it doesn't make sense.

Like, without the accent, that phrase becomes "I have sing."

"Chante" (no accent) is pronounced "sh-ah-nt."
"Chanté" (accent) is pronounced "sh-ah-nt-ay."
I see!

Thank you.
Grammatically translated, it should be "My French is good enough, but in French class this morning we listened to a song in French, and now I'm singing it."
Well, it was close!
Chat in French?

Did I get it right?? Or somewhat right??
Yep. XD

Well talk, but same thing.
Aw, YES! I looked up what "chant" meant, and it said "singing"

O.o
XD Yep. Singing. In French.
You're singing...
in French.

Wow! No, really. I could never do that.
>.> It's not that impressive, if you know a little bit of any language. I know enough to understand/pronounce the words, that's all I need. XD

My old school put on a two hour French performance every year, with several songs and a French play...
And yet we're incapable of reading picture books.

Huh.

And Fishy, you're educating me. x.x
