My sister just challenged me to be vegetarian...
-Hates meat too- :D Finally someone who isn't, "MEAT MEAT MEAT MEAT!"

I'm half-ish. I don't eat pork, cow, or any other animal asides from fish and chicken. And I'm willing to give it up, I prefer tofu chicken burgers to real chicken burgers.

But I'm not going to give up eggs or milk or anything like that, just meat. -Knows how to properly balance too-
I don't like meat either. The only reason I eat it at all is because my mom shoves it down my throat so I have the proper amount of protein... Bleh. I eat turkey burgers, turkey bacon, and chicken. Sometimes pork chops, if they're pounded and fried so it feels like chicken.

My problem is the texture. I have a very strong gag reflex, and I have a hard time getting past the texture of fatty foods. I had to switch to turkey bacon, because bacon's my favorite breakfast food, but the regular kind is too fatty.

And then, of course, came the time when someone told me what bologna and hot dogs are made of. I didn't believe them at first and ate them sparingly, because I never really liked them to begin with (Texture). Then I watched an episode of "Unwrapped," where they showed you what was in them and the wrapping process. :\
Steak makes me nauseous...

Oh I love bacon and ham but they taste less delicious to me now for some reason and then I think about the fact that I am eating a piggy.... Then I remember how the piggies are slaughtered...
That's... pretty dumb.

I must apologize, this is coming from someone who's been in "what we have or nothing plus you may get severely injured" situations, and vegetarianism-by-choice doesn't make much sense to me.
Lamp: "'Tis no way to live. Meat is very tasty."

^^ This.
Like srsly wtf, meat is awesome. I'm not glorifying meat, but grow up and eat it, it's not like refusing to will somehow save the chicken that was killed for it. The only vegetarian I respect as a vegetarian, honestly, is my one friend who just does it because he can produce anything out of pretty much anything, looks up a lot of foods as a hobby (not recipes, just different foods, he no cook), and is an extremely good amateur/fan ornithologist. Which has nothing to do with vegetarianism, but it makes me respect him for it. And he eats fish. And sometimes, very sparingly, non-red meat.
It's a moral thing for some people. In some cases it's religious, too. Just... there's a difference between simply refusing to eat meat as a personal choice and going all psycho-PETA on everyone.
I quit being a vegetarian because I like meat >.>

I'm totally fine with people being vegetarians... as long as you're sure to get protein and vitamin B12.
Oh, yes, that I understand. I just find it silly.
Meat is bad on more than one level; the animals, of course, who are raised badly and slaughtered horribly, are affected, but there's also the huge negative impact that the meat industry has on the environment and other cattle ranchers/farmers/etc. It's quite easy to go without meat, and a well-balanced vegetarian diet is more healthy than one including meat.

I don't care that others eat it, and I haven't taken to preaching, but I like it better this way. *shrugs*

Edit: And, quite honestly, I don't trust what's in meat. Slaughterhouses are always full of health violations and the like. If we bought solely from a local, organic farmer I wouldn't have a problem with eating it, but we don't.
Well, one, no, the animals are not affected by vegetarians, two, I determine healthiness by how fast and far you can run and how long you can march with a sousaphone, so I dunno.

And I don't care either way, as it's just food, but if people share their opinions I tend to go "OHAI U GAIZ" and post my own in an obnoxious manner. Bad habit that I'm not ashamed of.
