Met two new characters. I love them to death.

Goal for tonight is 5000 words. At 3800 currently.
Hopefully I can get the plot moving towards something resembling a conflict. Which, though I've planned it, has no basis at all in what I've thus far written.

So...has anyone else made a cover for their NaNo yet? I threw one together a few hours ago. Synopsis was from this morning before I went to a write-in (which is SO fun, and this is coming from a fairly anti-social, friendless person).

I'm going to force myself to 8000 words before I go to bed tonight.
The further I get, the more I really hate this novel -- sure, I can 'see' everything, but damned if I can write anything without "oh my god the internet has pictures of CATS".

According to the NaNo site, I need to write 1986 words/day to be finished on time. Otherwise, my projected end date is January 20.
I will prevail.
