It's nearly impossible to make a good movie adaptation of a book, namely in that a book is the equivalent of a 12 hour movie. In terms of cutting for time and getting the same point across, they did a fair job.

We assume Annabeth's an egoist, and that Luke is a typical Greek hero; in short, he can do things that don't make sense in modern tales, like steal things from Gods without being noticed. What in the book gave you reason to care for the characters that was missing from the movie?

The movie plot and book plot were TOTALLY different. There was hardly anything in it that resembled the book whatsoever. D: In terms of book adaptation it was almost as bad as Eragon. Almost. >.> And there was no way that a guy who's over 20 can play a 12-year-old kid.

What in the book gave you reason to care for the characters that was missing from the movie?

Annabeth's backstory with Thalia, Luke, and Grover. Percy's real connection with his mother. Random little quirky things, like Annabeth's love of architecture and the blue food thing. How much of an outcast Percy really was. Et cetera.

My final essay for English this semester is 20%, an analytical essay on the Novel The Absolutely True Story of a Part-time Indian by Sherman Alexie, it was a good novel, but I really didn't get much out of it for a whole theme to analyze. God I need to do well on this.

Apparently according to her comments on both my other essays my writing style makes her laugh, at my smart ass comments, but I ramble a lot. Which I guess is kind of true, since the essay is supposed to be 700-750 words, and my rough drafts were like 1400 words.

Also I was reading some rant about how prudish North Americans are and I guess it's true since I went on a japanese online manga store and right on the home page was gay pr0n manga and novella, so unless they have an awesome server that goes through my computer's history and cookies saw I was on previous gay pr0n associated sites and put those up there because it figured I might likie. Or they're not bigoted assholes who say "sick gay guys" and then "awesome those girls should pull each others tops off and make out" kick the crap out of those people if I could get away with it.
