Had a better day than yesterday, but it was still kinda... meh. Cody's still sick, so he missed the second half of school, so I haven't seen him in two days now... >_> I'm such a Sue...
All I have left for English is my analytical essay then I'm done for the semester, next semester I don't think I'll be taking an English course. Going to focus on French as a language course that needs to get completed.
Science still have a lab exam and a final exam.
Engineering, a bridge project and a final exam.
Career Explorations, an assignment, an oral, and an "exam".
Phys Ed, just more swimming? I guess... maybe one more easy assignment.
Humanities, two more assignments, two more projects, an in-class test, and a final exam. Geez I wonder which teacher is the least organized?

Question:
Ryan, why is your English so good?
We have an exchange girl from Quebec and her English is... not so good. About on par with my French. And we were in Montreal this summer and the girl at Tim Hortons did not understand me.
Despite living in Quebec, my mother's family is from Ireland, though my step-father is French.
O.o Really, they didn't understand you? Was it downtown or in some Suburban area? Downtown is strange since they usually try to hire bilingual people for the whole reason of visitors.

XD From what I've seen, it's better than mine. And my abusive amounts of commas and such. And you can read books in English can't you? I tried Harry Potter. It did not go well. I'm sticking with French little kid books, like Chester.
That explains part of it I suppose. And you do learn it in school... But everyone else speaks French right? It's just so damn... good. -Envious-
Nope. Not downtown, down by the giant orange. I asked where the bathroom was and they were like, "o.o wut." And then in a city/town thing outside of Quebec, the people in I think, McDonalds didn't understand me either. Even though my half-mom was insistent that they would understand since it was just out of Quebec City.
I went to a primary English school though so while I did French and English, I mainly had English friends, I grew up reading books in English for the most part. Plus in French class we usually had to read books by Quebec authors for french literature, and they sucked. I think people would enjoy it more if we were reading stuff like Harry Potter in french.
Since it's not in such a commercial centered area they probably just hired people who were French alone, and with the Quebec city, it doesn't matter where you go there, it's pretty much all hardcore french. My cousin swore once that they pretended not to understand his French because they could tell he was English from his accent.

That explains a lot. -Still in awe of it all- Ew, Quebec authors are not good. At all. XD I'm sure most people would too, we watch French movies and they're all modern ones (usually adapted from English movies) so French is usually not suckish.
XDDD That's funny and awful at the same time. I was told that southern Quebec actually spoke English. O.o Are most Quebec people conceited jackasses who hate people who speak English? Or just some of them...?
There are some parts of southern Quebec with a lot of English, Knowlton, a town near where I grew up is nearly all English. Lennoxville had some English, then there's downtown Montreal, but apart from that it's scattered.
For the most part they hate anything Canadian, which includes English since it's not considered an official language of the province. There are some exceptions, like my step-father's family.

I hear downtown Montreal is less than lovely. As in if you're not in your car, and your giant dog is not in your car, someone else is. Stealing your things. :D Those sound like awesome places.
XD I like how everywhere else is pretty much, "Canada is awesome. Screw you America."
