Protect the flock! From JP and Hachette!

I can't believe we don't have this thread, I went through all the threads looking for it.  Brought back such memories, too.  :D  Tell me if I, however, missed it.

So, pretty self explainatory.  What are you currently reading?  'Tis appreciated if you'd also say whether or not you'd recommend/not recommend the book, too, so everyone can expand their reading list.  :D

I'm curretly reading:

 - Symphony of Ages Seires -- Elizabeth Haydon.  They're great.  I'm adoring them.

 - The Messenger -- Markus Zusak.  'Tis lovely.  Very down-to-Earth, great writing style, fast moving without too much action.

 - The Gates -- John Connolly.  Only a few pages into it.  'Tis beyond amazing, though.  I love this author.

Good Omens

It's been a couple of months, and I felt I needed to renew the awesome in my mind...
Re-reading Harry Potter.

Hunger Games to brother.

39 Clues.
Lolita. I is uber excited, according to my kindle I'm only 58% Through though! XP
I picked up To Marry Medusa by Theodore Sturgeon today. I finished all 150 pages of it in 70 minutes.
It wasn't especially bad, but I got to the end feeling like I'd read a Dan Brown novel; that the entire endeavor was a huge waste of my time. None of the characters were developed, the characters who got exploration were detached from the story, and the writer himself didn't seem to have anything in mind other than the plot, which is to say a hive mind that is trying to figure out how to take over the human race.

Bleh. I'll probably try to return it this weekend.

Two weeks later...

I sent it back. Maybe I'll have enough money left over to buy something with.

Of Mice and Men. Not for any analytical/school-related purposes. I'll probably finish in half an hour.

And then I'll read Catcher in the Rye. And then I'll read Changes, as soon as somebody goes to the library for me (waiting until May for the paperback...). And then I'm going to the TC this weekend. ^_^
Of the two Steinbeck novels I've read, Mice and Men was the better one.
Insert clever joke here, but I shall shortly be reading Atlas Shrugged.

May God have mercy upon my soul. Or if it's more merciful, please, oh Cthulhu, kill me first and fastest.
Why are you reading it?

Anthem was bad. And it was short.
Frank Fontaine is on the cover... compelling me... compelling me... saying things...

come to Rapture where the philosophy is nicer

where the philosophy is nicer

it's so nice in Rapture come here

Wtf it makes no sense.

SSH JUST COME

tl;dr: I am a masochist.
That makes no sense. Fontaine was a perversion of Ryan's philosophy.

And no, it isn't nicer in Rapture. It's actually way worse. It was folks who thought the way you were thinking that broke down an already-awesome city.

Remember?
The dude on the cover looks like Fontaine's final form, and it's a meme.

In other words, absolutely fuckall is happening except RAILROADS OMG.
