And...Genn shows herself to not understand site dynamics...again.

Genn: Hey, End, does this site have an audio thread?

Me: It used to. I think it went with one of the banned people back in 2009.

She's off to post it again, at midnight, when no one's here to look at it.

For the record, highest user volume for MDW is between 6 and 9PM EST. That's when you want to post a thread.

*reappears*

There were smoldering embers in his eyes that burned like a million fires.

Am I alone in thinking that whoever wrote that sentence was trying a little too hard?

Yeah, that's a bit try-hard for my taste. Embers... are fires. "There were smoldering embers in his eyes" would work okay, though personally I think it ought to be "He had eyes that smoldered like embers", or it sounds like he lost a fight with a fire.
WHY THE FUCK DO I HAVE SEVENTY TWO NEW EMAILS.

Genn tried to put the audio thread up today.

I buried it on the next page with responses to other threads.

Thank you. I'll help bury it too.

I feel deeply ashamed.

It took Googling for a walkthrough for me to figure out that elevators have buttons. Oh my God.

*headdesk*

Which elevator was it? If its one of the ones in Fort Frolic it's sort of alright, but then I can point out that there were stairs...

Fort Frolic, getting into Fleet Hall.

I'm fucking dumb.

Yeah, there were stairs.
No, the actual theater part... but yeah. It's bright green. Goddamn.

Shiiiiiiit!

I was just informed that I need to go to religious services tonight--you know, right during the time that the ARG is supposed to take place.

I'd really like to skip it; I already went last week, and I regularly lead the services at college every week. And unlike the services I run, which are over in 20 minutes, this is going to be an hour-long event, plus an additional hour or two to get my parents out the door once it's over, added to the fact that the person who invented half of the music used by the congregation dropped dead last Wednesday, so it will go on even longer...this only to have the house infested by the teenage girls of the junior choir once it's over, which will likely involve me being aggravated all evening long.

Screw that. I'm going to try and smuggle my laptop in, and once I get home, I'm barricading the door.
